Light guide films (LGF) are widely used, but are you aware of their advantages?
2022.07.18 3286

LGF light-guiding film/sheet achieves superior light distribution by incorporating a layer of LGF onto conventional dual-layer or EMI-structured conductive films. Its operating principle leverages the principles of light reflection and refraction, combined with specialised optical software design. Microstructures are processed onto the optical fibre film, transforming a ‘point light source’ into a ‘surface light source’. Light beams propagate from the medium at optimal angles and densities, achieving an exceptional effect of uniform illumination. The LGF conductive film/light guide plate design reduces the number of LEDs required, addressing issues such as uneven brightness distribution, high power consumption, substantial space requirements, and elevated costs.

Features of Light Guide Plates & Films:

1. Excellent luminous effect, uniform brightness, and high light intensity;

2. Lightweight, flexible, and thin at 0.125mm thickness, suitable for mobile phones without occupying significant space unlike light guide plates;

3. Reduces LED count, power consumption, and overall costs;

4. No special circuitry requirements inherent to the structure;

5. Compatible with metal spring conductive films without compromising their lifespan.
