Embossing on membrane switches, membrane keys, and membrane panels carries risks?

Embossing the key areas on membrane panels enables operators to swiftly identify button positions, enhances tactile feedback, and lends the product greater design sophistication and dimensionality.

 

Key embossing offers four advantages:

 

1. Enhances the decorative effect of the membrane panel's appearance

2. Improves the operator's tactile sensation

3. Precisely defines the key area

 

4. Accelerates button recognition

 

Should clients specify embossed areas on membrane switch panel drawings, Ruim will default to the first embossing method (circular embossing). Alternative methods may be requested via order notes or drawing annotations.

 

Embossing height ranges from 0.3–0.8mm, with 0.5mm as the default.

 

Why are sharp-corner embossings risky?

 

Please note: When designing raised areas on membrane switch panels, employ rounded corners.

 

Sharp-corner embossing is not supported due to: risk of panel fracture.

 

Buttons with rounded corner embossing exhibit longer lifespan than those with sharp corner embossing. When embossing key areas on membrane switches, ensure button corners are designed with rounded edges.

 

What embossing styles are available?
