Membrane switches constitute an integrated operating system combining key functions, indicator elements, and instrument panels. They comprise four components: the panel, upper circuit, isolation layer, and lower circuit. Upon pressing the membrane switch, the upper circuit's contact point deforms downward, making contact with the lower circuit's electrode plate to complete the circuit. When the finger is released, the upper circuit contact point springs back, breaking the circuit and triggering a signal. The membrane switch features a rigorous structure, aesthetically pleasing appearance, and excellent sealing properties. It offers characteristics such as moisture resistance and extended service life. It is widely applied in electronic communication and electronic measurement instruments, industrial control, medical equipment, the automotive industry, smart toys, household appliances, and other fields.
PET dome switch membrane switches constitute a tactile switch assembly combining a PET film substrate with stainless steel metal domes (dome switches). Pressing deforms the metal dome to contact the lower circuit, achieving instantaneous conduction. Offering advantages of slimness, high durability, and customisability, they are extensively employed in precision electronic equipment.
Single-layer structure: Direct bonding of the spring sheet to adhesive-coated PET film, offering low cost but weak dust resistance.
Double-layer structure: Incorporates a spacer isolation layer to enhance tactile consistency and block dust ingress.
EMI shielding type: Features an anti-static silver paste layer printed onto the PET surface to prevent electrostatic interference (e.g., for medical/industrial equipment).
Consumer electronics: Mobile phone side buttons, remote control buttons (dual-layer structure for optimised tactile feedback);
Industrial control: Instrument panel buttons (EMI and anti-static design ensuring signal stability);
Automotive electronics: Centre console buttons (temperature resistance adapted for high-temperature vehicle environments);
Medical equipment: Handheld diagnostic device buttons (high sealing integrity preventing liquid ingress).
